Antiporda-2005

Enrico Antiporda is both a writer and a visual artist whose works have been shown at galleries and art exhibits in the western United States. He grew up in Manila, Philippines.

Enrico’s visual arts medium is acrylic on canvas with a merging of the French Fauve, Pop Art, and Folk Art influences. Being a colorist, he uses primary colors extensively, juxtaposing complementaries next to each other to make the work come alive. His subject matter varies, from indoor scenes to landscapes to abstract work, but always painted in the same Fauvist vein.

Enrico likes his art to evoke positive emotions in people; draw them into a realm of fantasy, and give them a trip into the vibrant world of colors. His multicultural novel THE BAND OF GYPSIES, for which he also created the cover, was published in January 2000 and has received rave reviews from trade publications.
